How To Set Up The Harness?

All of our NDM 1 products are unisex and are designed and tested for both men and women. To set up the harness follow the steps below.

Put the backpack on. Adjust the horizontal chest straps to a comfortable length (The two "d-rings" allow you to change between a larger and smaller size). Use the outer ring for the large size and loop through both for the smaller size.
Adjust the vertical shoulder straps (If needed) to adjust the height of the buckle, the center buckle should align around the height of your solar plexus. Do note that a few models like Race 2.0 and Outlander PRO does not have this setting due to their low weight.

Care Instructions

Packs

We want you to follow the instructions on the care label for each product. Care labels are typically found inside of the product. If you can’t see it, look again. If you still can’t see it, contact us.

STEPS

After every ride, empty the pack completely and brush clean soiled areas with soapy water.
Never put your pack into a washing machine or dryer, this damages the PU coating. Only hand wash.
The pack fabrics can’t be ironed.
Zippers must be kept clean for improved lifetime.
To store: close the pack and keep it in a dry, well ventilated place.

Hydration Systems

ELITE

Reverse by placing your hand in the bladder, grab the bottom, and pull it back through the top opening, just like turning a sock inside-out. The molded opening can also be flipped after the bladder body has been reversed. Then, throw it in the dishwasher or rinse with mild soap and water. Make sure to let the bladder dry out completely while reversed.

The Outlander 10L XC has a big 10L capacity so that you can bring everything you need for a full day of riding, like an extra jacket, your phone, keys, gloves, food and energy.

It’s designed for the performance minded MTB or gravel enthusiast who value low-weight gear. The front straps are lightweight with a highly breathable mesh, while the airy back panel helps to keep you dry and cool during fast, high effort rides.

STAY HYDRATED ON IN ACTION

The pack comes with an included 1.5L/50oz Hydrapak Elite™ hydration bladder with a big Slide-Seal top to easily fill it with water and ice. The bladder sits tight thanks to the compression sleeve and the drinking tube attaches easily and securely with the tube clip.

OCEAN RECYCLED

The new material is PFAS-free and Ocean Recycled.

FAQ

Can I fit a full-face helmet inside the 10L pack? +

No, the 10L is designed for layers, tools, and essentials, not helmet storage. You can use the exterior bungy cords to strap a helmet to the outside if needed.

Will this pack work for gravel racing or is it only for mountain biking? +

It works great for both. The 10L capacity and zero-bounce harness make it ideal for long gravel events where you need extra gear and hydration without the pack shifting around.

How do I clean the Elite hydration bladder after rides? +

Rinse it with warm water after each ride and hang it to dry with the opening propped open. The wide opening makes cleaning quick and prevents mold buildup.

Can I add extra pockets or accessories to this pack? +

Yes, the OUTLANDER XC is compatible with USWE's NDM 1.0 accessories including the organizer pocket, phone pocket, chest pocket, and gel fuel rack for additional storage.

Does the pack ride high enough to avoid hitting my lower back on rough trails? +

Yes, the No Dancing Monkey harness positions the pack high on your torso so it stays locked in place and won't slam into your lower back when you're dropping into steep sections or hitting jumps.
