Fit, Specs & Care
How To Set Up The Harness?
All of our NDM 1 products are unisex and are designed and tested for both men and women. To set up the harness follow the steps below.
Put the backpack on. Adjust the horizontal chest straps to a comfortable length (The two "d-rings" allow you to change between a larger and smaller size). Use the outer ring for the large size and loop through both for the smaller size.
Adjust the vertical shoulder straps (If needed) to adjust the height of the buckle, the center buckle should align around the height of your solar plexus. Do note that a few models like Race 2.0 and Outlander PRO does not have this setting due to their low weight.
Care Instructions

We want you to follow the instructions on the care label for each product. Care labels are typically found inside of the product. If you can’t see it, look again. If you still can’t see it, contact us.
STEPS
After every ride, empty the pack completely and brush clean soiled areas with soapy water.
Never put your pack into a washing machine or dryer, this damages the PU coating. Only hand wash.
The pack fabrics can’t be ironed.
Zippers must be kept clean for improved lifetime.
To store: close the pack and keep it in a dry, well ventilated place.

Reverse by placing your hand in the bladder, grab the bottom, and pull it back through the top opening, just like turning a sock inside-out. The molded opening can also be flipped after the bladder body has been reversed. Then, throw it in the dishwasher or rinse with mild soap and water. Make sure to let the bladder dry out completely while reversed.

Design & Action
Shredding steep singletrack or grinding out gravel miles means your hydration pack needs to disappear on your back. The MTB Hydro 3L Hydration Pack is a compact mountain bike hydration backpack built for riders who want zero distractions when the trail gets rowdy. USWE's patented No Dancing Monkey 1.2 harness uses elastic straps and a technical NDM buckle to clamp this pack against your spine, eliminating bounce completely even when you're dropping into chunky descents or sprinting out of corners. The streamlined 3L total volume keeps your essentials organized without adding bulk, while the included 2.0L Elite hydration bladder with plug-n-play coupling keeps you hydrated on fast rides and spontaneous after-work sessions.
Tech & Specs
NDM 1.2 harness system: Four-point elastic suspension locks the pack to your back for absolute zero bounce on technical terrain
3L total volume: Compact storage for tools, snacks, and a spare tube without weighing you down on cross country rides
2.0L Elite hydration bladder: Plug-n-play coupling and wide opening make refills quick between laps or at aid stations
430g pack weight (590g with bladder): Lightweight construction that won't slow you down on long climbs or gravel races
Mesh shoulder straps: Breathable back panel keeps air moving when you're pushing hard on summer rides
Fit & Kit
Dial in your fit by adjusting the elastic NDM straps for a snug, stable feel that moves with you through rough sections and tight switchbacks. The harness accommodates different body types with adjustable Velcro straps, making this pack work for petite riders, tall athletes, and everyone chasing speed in between. After muddy rides, rinse the Elite bladder with warm water and hang it to dry. The plug-n-play hose detaches in seconds for easy cleaning and quick access to essentials when you're carrying water and electrolytes for all day adventures.
FAQ
How do I fill the hydration bladder on this pack?+
The 2.0L Elite bladder has a wide opening at the top for easy filling. The plug-n-play hose detaches quickly so you can fill it without removing the entire bladder from the pack.
Will this pack fit if I have a large chest or broad shoulders?+
The NDM 1.2 harness uses adjustable Velcro straps that accommodate different body types, but if you need extra room across the chest or shoulders, check out the Adventure Fit version designed specifically for larger builds or wearing over protective gear.
Can I add extra storage pockets to this pack?+
Yes, this pack is compatible with USWE's NDM 1 accessories including organizer pockets, phone pockets, and chest pockets that attach directly to the harness system.
Is 3L enough storage for long mountain bike rides?+
The 3L total volume works great for rides up to 3 hours where you need the basics like a spare tube, multi-tool, snacks, and a lightweight jacket. For longer all-day adventures or bikepacking, consider the 9L or 12L versions.
Does the hose route on the left or right side?+
The plug-n-play hose can be routed to either your left or right shoulder depending on your preference. Just detach it and reattach on whichever side feels more natural when you're riding.
Riders love how this pack stays locked in place no matter the terrain, with customers consistently highlighting the secure fit and zero movement on technical trails. The compact size hits the sweet spot for carrying tools, spare parts, and nutrition without extra bulk, while the comfortable harness system and quality construction earn high marks. Several customers note it holds plenty of liquid and essentials for day rides, with the overall build quality and fit impressing both new buyers and longtime USWE users.

I got this as a gift for my husband. His feedback is that he loves it except that the hydration tube and magnet are not ideal even though he has tried it on both the left and right sides - it's hard to find the magnet attachment point while riding. The tube maybe seems to be a little too long and or not as pliable as it could be - so shorter and more pliable might make that easier.
Overall, it carries well, super stable, doesn't bother him at all on long rides, carries all the food and water he would want to take on his epic rides.

great fit & bladder

The bag looks amazing and is amazing but I think a bit too small and not enough pocket that could have been added without extra weight to be able to pack tools to fix your bike in the wood.

Très Confortable!
Pierre L.5/5Verified
Really comfortable on the trail. Good storage for essentials.
Forest T.5/5Verified
Detachable compartment comes off when riding. Buckles not secure. Better and simpler if not detachable

Excellent product. Lightweight.
Jeffrey V.5/5Verified
A bit smaller then I thought, but works fine for shorter rides.

The MTB 3 was purchased to replace the Race 2 that I love. The MTB 3 is exactly what I was looking for in regard to hydration packs. I love the USWE products! Thank you!

I fell in love with it right away. It’s my first first hydration pack. The “No Dancing Monkey” is no joke. It held in place great. I trail ride on my mountain bike and this pack exceeed my expectations. The small storage I thought could’ve been a little bigger but glad that it was some extra storage.
The water stayed cool even after my hour long ride. I was really impressed.

Still snow into ground have to wait little to start bicycle season
Tero T.5/5Verified
Great Pack, Works well. You can fit some stuff in main zipper compartment with the water if not enough room in the small zipper pocket. Big enough pack for 30+ mile rides
Kaleb W.5/5Verified
I use the pack while paddling outrigger canoes in the ocean. Good pack except two things that need fixing for my specific situation. First, the shoulder straps are very rigid and abrasive and are tearing up my shirts. Second, the zippers on the pack are made of metal. They are starting to rust. I won’t be able to open or close them once they rust out completely. I spray them with fresh water to slow the process. Plastic zippers would hold up better.

the pack fits perfect and is high quality. It keeps in place no matter where you ride. It has enough room for the tools and spare parts you need to carry with you.
Friedhelm M.5/5Verified
Carries liquid like a beast, and a few tools or nutrition resupply or whatever else we need for our adventures! Well built, comfortable and doesn't move around on my back.
The only thing missing on this particular pack that my other USWE packs have had is the little clip that holds the tube, so it just dangles, but I bet I can add one on if I ever remember to look and order it....
