Not yet tried it but seems well made. The customer service was however exceptional. The guys stopped an order after packaging and labelling just before dispatch in order to squeeze this in and save second shipping fee as i forgot in initial order. Great service all round and their products seem first rate.
This insulated tube is not a gimmick! I was blown away by the fact that the water in my tube was the same temp as the water in the reservoir! Normally the tube water is pretty much wasted as it warms up fast which meant I would usually drain out the warm tube water before drinking. But that's not the case with the effective insulation on this tube from USWE. It keeps the water colder longer and helps me conserve water. Win/Win
This tube is basically a universal fit, as it snaps into a variety of different old reservoirs I had laying around. AND it's longer than my old ones so it was an upgrade in more than one way.
I am an adventure photographer and I use their reservoirs/tubes/etc in custom cases and DIY camera bags and they work great. They have earned a place in my kit.
Another thing I like about USWE is that they ship surprisingly fast and provide tracking. I've had multiple orders with them now (to the USA) and they arrived quickly, within a week each time.
I searched around for a long time before discovering USWE products and I am now a customer for life. You guys rule!
so disappointed that it doesn't work with the waist bag. and it's too late to return it. had i known this was incompatible with the waist bag from the start through a clear description i would've not bought it or returned it quickly. now im stuck with a useless product.
I like this insulated tube kit. This is my second one to use for my second pack. They keep my water cold even on warm/hot SoCal weather during the summer season. They are way better that the regular ones.
It works fine keeping water drinkable and it looks good, not being some loose peace of neoprene. A bit pricy in Finland compared to US price (29,95� and 15$. Recommend.
This literally does nothing to keep the water in the tube cold at all. Functions no differently than the tube that came with the pack. Only good thing about it is that it has a cover as the stock one gets dirt in my mouth all the time.
The Insulated Tube Kit only gets 4 stars instead of 5 and only a "Medium" rating for Functionality because:
- it is just a bit too short. I have had to move where the magnetic clip is on the pack straps for the magnet attachment on the hose to reach it. even doing so it just barely reaches
- it is difficult to attach the magnet for the hose clip to the hose. the insulation is almost too thick to allow it to clip on. in my case, for the magnet to reach the clip on the pack straps I have had to put the magnet on as close to the mouth piece as possible ... it's actually on the thicker part where the hard plastic of the mouth piece connects to the hose (which is thicker than just the insulated hose)
those are the only two things that I find fault with
otherwise, the insulated hose works well to keep the water in the hose from getting hot (I live in Arizona where it gets VERY hot)
Since it�s cooler weather I can�t rate this product on its insulating quality. Because it is thicker than the original tube it is challenging to get through the hydration pack eye-lit.
Only get warm water for about a second in the heat before it turns cold probably what was sitting in the mouth piece itself so that could use better insulation but besides that a great product and amazing customer service. Couldnt complain about the hose I really like it. The quick disconnect makes removing and installing a breeze. Really happy I went with this company vs. The competition
