How To Set Up The Harness?
All of our NDM 1 products are unisex and are designed and tested for both men and women. To set up the harness follow the steps below.
Put the backpack on. Adjust the horizontal chest straps to a comfortable length (The two "d-rings" allow you to change between a larger and smaller size). Use the outer ring for the large size and loop through both for the smaller size.
Adjust the vertical shoulder straps (If needed) to adjust the height of the buckle, the center buckle should align around the height of your solar plexus. Do note that a few models like Race 2.0 and Outlander PRO does not have this setting due to their low weight.

Reverse by placing your hand in the bladder, grab the bottom, and pull it back through the top opening, just like turning a sock inside-out. The molded opening can also be flipped after the bladder body has been reversed. Then, throw it in the dishwasher or rinse with mild soap and water. Make sure to let the bladder dry out completely while reversed.

Design & Action
When the trail turns brutal and your lungs are screaming, the last thing you need is your pack slapping the back of your head. The Airborne 9L Race Edition is engineered for enduro racers and aggressive trail riders who demand absolute stability when bombing technical terrain. USWE's patented No Dancing Monkey 4-point harness locks this mountain bike hydration pack to your body, eliminating bounce completely so you can focus on nailing that rock garden instead of fighting your gear. At 600g without the bladder, this pack carries 9 liters of storage plus a 3L Elite hydration bladder without weighing you down on all day rides or one day enduro races.
The gray ripstop construction survives crashes, mud, and whatever punishment you throw at it. Multiple attachment points let you strap your full face helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads to the outside when you're climbing back up for another run. The tool organizer compartment keeps your multi-tool, spare tube, and CO2 cartridges sorted and accessible, while zippered pockets stash snacks, keys, and your phone. This hydration pack with secure fit stays planted on rough terrain, letting you rail corners and send jumps without second-guessing your setup.

Fit & Kit
Dial in the NDM harness by adjusting the elastic chest straps and waist belt for a snug, personalized fit that moves with your body. The 4-point system distributes weight evenly across your chest and hips, reducing shoulder fatigue on long rides. After each ride, rinse the Elite bladder with warm water and let it air dry completely. The Plug-n-Play coupling disconnects in seconds for fast refills at aid stations or trailheads. Compatible with USWE accessories like the Action Camera Harness, Phone Pocket, and Organizer Pocket for customized storage solutions.
FAQ
Does this pack work with a chest protector or neck brace?+
Yes. The NDM harness sits higher on your torso and uses elastic straps that flex around body armor without restricting your breathing or movement.
How do I clean the hydration bladder?+
Rinse the Elite bladder with warm water after each ride and let it air dry completely. The wide opening makes cleaning easy without needing special brushes.
Can I add extra pockets or accessories to this pack?+
Absolutely. The Airborne 9L is compatible with USWE's NDM accessories including the Phone Pocket, Organizer Pocket, Chest Pocket, and Action Camera Harness for customized storage.
Will this pack fit if I'm a bigger or taller rider?+
The adjustable NDM harness accommodates a wide range of body types. If you need extra length, USWE sells extension straps separately for larger chest sizes or when wearing thick layers.
Is 9 liters enough for a full day ride?+
For most riders, yes. You get 3 liters of water plus 6 liters of gear space for tools, snacks, a rain jacket, and essentials without the pack feeling bulky or bouncing around.
I bought the 9 L because I already had the 2 L and I was doing longer rides so I needed water pastel electrolyte. I don’t carry water bottles cause I ride mountain bike cross country. This is the perfect pack for all day ride. The pack has plenty of storage you put your phone, wallet and tools without scratching your phone up if you need to carry a rain jacket, there’s plenty of our room for that. I use the bladder from my 2 L. I’m very happy with my purchase and I hope you are too.
Having owned nothing but CamelBak hydration packs in the past, I was a little hesitant about changing brands\. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by my new USWE hydration pack\.
I wasn’t convinced at first by the bladder system with its wide\-slide top opening instead of a traditional screw cap, but I’m completely sold now\. It’s incredibly easy to fill, clean and use\.
The pack comfortably carries everything I need for a few hours on the trails, with a well\-thought\-out layout that keeps gear organised\. My tools are easy to access, and the chest harness system is excellent—it keeps the pack secure and stable without restricting movement\.
Overall, it’s a fantastic hydration pack, and I’m very happy I made the switch\.
Worked as expected, I came across a YT video of someone with a USWE pack for MTB and liked how they only used a pack clip mount for Action camera in the middle. Wanted to try it too so I'd not have to wear a chest hardness, and it did a great job with stabilizing video. Great pack!
My second USWE pack, as the elastic in the straps in my first pack lost their elasticity. Obviously, given this is my second one, I love the fit and feel of the pack. No “dancing monkeys” is indeed true.
I was looking for something great
Finally it’s even more than that
Well above my expectations
You do great product !

From France / mountain biking - enduro
So, I had a smaller pack from them and being in Florida I started this summer just making it through the ride but empty at the end with the 2 liters. This not only holds all my gear and tools but way more water which was needed out here is the very humid conditions. I have had other brands before and I can say this harness is way more comfortable
Bladder is a pain to install while full. Flat pockets and adjustable portion isnt ideal for riding through trees but it works. Would have bought a different model knowing what i do now.
Wanted a bounce free pack to use during the Megavalanche enduro race in france. This pack worked great as it stayed secure and in place while plowing through rock gardens and launching off of drops. There was more than enough room for tools, snacks and medical supplies (I am a type one diabetic) while utilizing the built in water bladder. I highly reccomend this product.
It’s makes riding so much easier and enjoyable to not have to reach for a water bottle. Lots of room for the pump and multi tool and a few snacks for the long greuling rides. Doesn’t bounce around on the rough trails !!!
Fits incredibly well with zero movement after adjusting. Just the right size for small hand tools, a few snacks, and its nice to have a spot to tuck my knee pads should I pull them off mid-ride. Outstanding quality all around
Great product and delivery. 9L is very compact. Water extra layer and a few essentials is all I can fit. Next time I would go for a bigger size.
I got some gloves on sale at the sametime but we were delivered separately. Would have been nice to get them delivered together to save on fees.
For the most part, it's very well designed and built. Nice and light and the strap system is the best designed of any pack I've ever used. Sits very high and tight with absolutely no bouncing around. The strap system is very much on the small side. I'm 5'11" - 185 lbs and have the straps close to maxed out so bigger riders need to try before you buy.
A couple points keep this from full-on 5 star. The 3L reservoir is a poor fit. Too large for the cavity it sits in. A 2L reservoir would be a far better choice, given the space restraints. Also, the reservoir cavity completely hides the reservoir, making it impossible to tell the fill level without pulling it out. Lastly, more individual pockets would be helpful for tool and gear storage.
All and all, it's a solid 4 stars, as is.
Pretty good, with the water bladder full it is hard to fit much else in the pack. Maybe a hip strap would be nice too. The pack either has to be super tight or it has the tendency to ride up a bit. Also the buckle is mad annoying to get undone if you’re wearing gloves or have arm pump
In the item pictures, it clearly shows that the bladder pocket has a zipper as it used to be many years ago. I was very disappointed to find out when received, that the actual pocket did not have a zipper. I was considering returning the item because of that as I have a new backup daypack and the only reason I purchased this Airborne was the zipper to the bladder pocket.
It is a little small. I am not a fan of this type of bladder. I prefer a screw on cap. So I change the bladder. I buy your stuff for the closure mechanism. Color is great.
Product is amazing. Ability to hold a lot for long endurance mtn bike rides. The only thing I have to say about this was the version I had seen online came with a zipper pocket for the bladder whereas the one I received had an elastic top. This makes it challenging to get a full bladder of water into the bladder sleeve holder. Other than that the bag is perfect.
