Can I access my jersey pockets while wearing this hydration vest? +
No. The vest sits over your jersey, so you won't be able to reach traditional jersey pockets. Use the five front pockets on the vest instead for quick access to nutrition and essentials.
How do I clean the hydration bladder after using energy drinks or electrolyte mixes? +
Rinse the bladder with warm water and a drop of dish soap, then hang it upside down with the opening facing down to air dry completely. For stubborn residue, use a bladder cleaning kit with a brush.
Will this vest fit over a full-face helmet when I take it off on climbs? +
The vest stays on your body, so you'll need to carry your full-face helmet separately or strap it to the outside of the pack. The 8-liter capacity is designed for essentials and hydration, not helmet storage.

I have been wearing a USWE Airborne 2L pack for about 5 years and decided to try this new "vest" style pack as I liked the idea of having all the pockets handy in front on the straps. I've only used one hydration pack before (a store-brand version that cost 1/5 of this one), so that's where I'm coming from. The positives: the USWE vest is lighter (weighs less). It clips together more easily (one-handed). I used the site's sizing chart so mine fit without need for adjustment. The pockets on the front are indispensable for snacks and my phone. The plug-and-play hose and bladder are easy to clean. The negatives: I had to look up a YouTube video to figure out how to open the bladder (reservoir) the first time — it felt glued shut. There are no air channels on my back so that whole area sits and sweats (my much cheaper one has air channels between my back and the pack). The material feels flimsy — it might last forever, but it doesn't *feel* like it will. I could only find it in black, so it's absorbing sun/heat like crazy and shows salt/sweat stains after the first ride (my cheaper one is light gray). Overall, I like it, but I can't say it's a significant improvement over the Quest pack I got at Dick's for $30.

I have several USWE packs. I wish they made this vest with the multiple water tube clip locations like their other hydration packs (the vest only comes with one clip option). I ended up robbing a clip from my other pack and adding it to the vest. Also would be nice if they kept the back padding like they do on their other hydrations packs (the vest only has thin mesh).

Fits perfectly and stays 100% in position. Even if you go go fast on the XC trail. All needed things like tools, pump, spare tubes fit in the back pockets, even if the bladder is completely filled. I like the front pockets, to keep power bars , mobile, money and keys. All the mesh material allows water to get in, but at the other side it is quite comfortable at high temperatures. You need a drybag to protect what needs to stay dry. Would love to have a possibility to secure the zippers at the back.

Picked up this vest for xc racing and mountain biking in Arizona. The only positive thing I can say about the vest is it is lightweight. The vest is quite flimsy and does not appear to be made to last the vigors of mountain biking - terribly uncomfortable with gear and tools in it too. I have wore a lot of hydration packs over the years and this was one of the most poorly ventilated packs I've had - IT'S HOT. Not impressed with the water flow rate and flimsiness of the bladder either. Read the fine print before you actually use it because the return is only if its still new.
