When running, biking, speed-hiking, enduro dirt-biking or any other crazy action sport, lugging around with a water bottle just won’t cut it, you want to be able to drink water without a hassle. Having your hydration on your back might sound crazy at first (WTF, a backpack when hitting the trail? That’s like having a dancing monkey on your back), but we designed the packs together with athletes and adrenaline junkies who are used to speed, action, big jumps and bouncing trails. All this were tamed by the No Dancing Monkey™ harness system which makes sure the pack feels great during action. Our tech is so insanely good that it’s like wearing no backpack at all!
Going long distances require you to hydrate often or you can’t perform your best. Your body can’t regulate heat so you will feel tired, dizzy, get cramps, or other serious, potentially dangerous stuff like fainting. But bringing a lot of water is easier said than done, when you push yourself for hours every little increase in weight in noticeable, and every slight discomfort will turn into a huge disadvantage. Using bottles require that your ether pack them inside a bag, making it impossible to drink while on the move. Staying still to unpack your bottle for a drink is not just tedious, it will affect your momentum and set you back on a race. If you’re on a bike, using a bottle rack will take your hands of the handlebars, affecting both balance and focus on the path ahead. It will also limit the amount of water you can bring. A hydration pack is easy to carry and simple to use in action.
The USWE hydration packs are all designed from the ground up to be used on the move. They will hug you like an octopus on steroids staying perfectly still with absolutely zero bounce. They are all lightweight and made to be comfortable when going high speed on crazy terrains. The water is tightly packed, and the bladder decompresses when you drink so its content wont slosh around. Using the no bounce NDM tech an USWE hydration pack also enables you to bring some gear, accessories, or extra apparel without it affecting your performance.
Our policy is that a backpack, like a glove, is worn and not carried. It is not a one size fits all kind of thing. It must be fitted to your body to give the ultimate performance. That’s why we made our packs simple and quick to fine-tune and adjust to fit you perfectly.
Different activities require different kind of a pack and fit. Running hydration packs are super lightweight, while a dirt-bike pack you need a more durable fabric and some extra storage for extra gear. When out in the snow you need some insulation so your hydration wont freeze. We got you covered there with our winter packs.
Drinking from a hydration pack is easy, just take a sip from the tube connected to the bladder. The drinking tube is accessible from an easy to reach spot on the frontside of the bag. We made it simple to secure the tube when its unused, so won’t be in your way when you need to focus on going forward on your adventure.
Use the grips of the bladder to open the bladder and fill it with your hydration of choice. Close the bladder and secure the opening with the slide seal. Secure the bladder inside the backpack with the strap and run the tube through the hole and through the front. All set baby!
Depending on what pack you choose you also have a bunch of options for extra gear and storage. If your going Mountain biking (hydration-packs/biking) you might need to store your helmet, well we got that covered with the helmet carrier. There are also cool extra pack accessories to tailor the pack to your needs. Need to have your phone safe and quick to reach? Just grab the Phone pocket. Or how about attaching a GoPro or other Action camera with the Action Camera Harness?
The packs are bound to get dirty; they are made to be used out in the mud and dirt! Sometimes you might want to give the pack a quick light cleaning. Just empty all your stuff out and use a clean, soft sponge to wipe the interior. When cleaning the exterior, add some soap to the sponge and then rinse it off.
If the dirtiness gets out of hand (even we got our standards) you can handwash the backpack in 30 degrees warm water, and ad some soap or detergent if necessary. Try to not chuck them in a washing machine or a dryer as the inner lining protecting the inside of the pack from wetness will get damaged over time. Just hand it upside down and let it dry.
