Thermo Cell Technology
Thermo Cell is equipped with a multilayer insulation cover that reflects the heat on the inside and shields from the cold and wind from the outside. By its design, the Thermo Cell closes tightly to the body and a thin mesh membrane permits maximum body heat to pass through. Used in this way the body heat feeds the Thermo Cell with thermal energy. Smart!
Thermo Cell encapsulates heat from physical activity in an insulating air pocket that protects the tube and bite valve from freezing even in the most extreme winter conditions. Therefore, we have chosen to provide both shoulder straps on the NORDIC, HAJKER, POW and BRANT backpacks with Thermo Cell so that you get the option of choosing which side you want to have the tube in tube, or having tubes on both sides (double hydration bladders). Or optional, why not store gels and bars that you easily reach on-the-go in the pocket you don't use.
CE-certified Lev.1 Full Back Protector
The SAS-TEC SCA 450 full back protector is multi-impact conpliant and is made of flexible viscoelastic foam with memory effect and which returns to it’s original shape after an impact or any kind of deformation.
According to the European Standard EN 1621-2:2014 the average residual forces of back protectors may be 18 kN (Level 1). The SAS-TEC SCA-450 full back protector reach an average residual force of 11,6 kN, absorbs more than 90% of the impact energy, and therefore it exceeds the requirements of a Level 1 certification. The SAS-TEC SCA450 have been tested and certified by Ricotest, Via Tione 9, I-37010 Pastrengo (VR), Italy.
THE BACK PROTECTOR CAN ONLY REDUCE THE RISK OF A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS INJURY WHEN THE PROTECTOR ELEMENT IS INSERTED FIRMLY IN THE PROVIDED COMPARTMENT AND WHEN THE BACKPACK IS SECURELY FASTENED ON THE BACK.
IN THE EVENT THAT THE BACKPACK SHOWS DAMAGE AFTER AN ACCIDENT, THE CONDITION OF THE PROTECTOR MUST BE INSPECTED. THE PROTECTOR SHOULD BE FREE OF FRAGMENTATIONS, TEARS AND COMPRESSION DENTING. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT THE PROTECTOR IS DAMAGED, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY. THE PROTECTOR ELEMENT CAN BE REPLACED SEPARATELY.
