GRIT - Episode 0 - Pre Race

This is it! Eight Days, 681 kilometers and 16900 meters of climbing. Our athletes are getting prepared for Cape Epic, the worlds toughest MTB marathon race.

With our GRIT series we will follow our world class athletes and weekend warriors in their struggle as they fight side by side for a place on the most prestigious podium of the sport. Be sure to check back because each day we will bring a new episode covering the blood, sweat and tears from the days race. This takes grit! Do you have what it takes?

Ariane Lüthi getting ready with the OUTLANDER PRO

By being able to play with a combination of bottles and hydration packs in the race, it gives the athletes more flexibility to dose the right amount of nutrition. Also they don't have to loose time being stuck in traffic at the waterpoints.

The OUTLANDER PRO is a superlight race pack offering 2L hydration capacity, developed and designed for optimal performance in Mountainbike marathon racing. The pack is being stripped off to go minimum on weight and to maximize the ventilation at the front. The pack has an ultralight and ventilated mesh-membrane harness with fixed size to make this happen. This is a core Factory Racing pack made for athletes.
